Sometimes God’s intervention just simply works in mysterious ways. We have to believe that we are placed in front of people or events for special reasons and purposes.
You are not going to be happy about a difficult situation but you can be satisfied that God is in control & up to something good in the midst of trouble. This is that time in my life where I had to come to grips with what was going on in my life. “The time” was where I found myself being pushed in a pit, but God was there for me.
You may not understand today or tomorrow, but eventually God will reveal why you went through everything you did. I might just have found out what “that” was when I received this phone call I describe below.
I would like to take this time out of the weekend to share with you a message I got from one the local bookstores carrying my book. They called to inform me that some how they convinced a young couple to purchase my book knowing that they are Atheist. Now, were they Atheist or Agnostic, I do not know. They then returned several weeks later to inform them that they were not any longer. They had no more updates on their spiritual walk but were ecstatic to share this bit of good news with me. If I only reached one person’s life, it made writing and sharing this message that God so joyously provided me worth it. After all, He did tap me on my shoulder and I listened this time. I took that call of action.
Do you treat Jesus like your travel agent or your captain? We want to be able to tell Him OUR desires, and if we are honest, we desire our plans to come to fruition with as little discomfort and suffering as possible. God isn’t afraid to allow trials or pain if those things ultimately lead us and those around us to more of Him. The spirit like a vacation planner and instead, might we call Him Captain of our lives with open hands and hearts in full confidence that He knows exactly what He is doing.
Remember when fear comes calling, send faith to answer. You certainly will be glad you did.
