We are nearing that time when a new president is to take office and he/she places an individual up for nomination to certain offices that require a confirmation of a panel of legislators that will decide if that individual will move on to the next level in front of Congress.
These sometimes can be fairly grueling sessions of witnessing before the panel that can last for weeks at a time. Some have said that they are taken to an extreme level while others claim that it is a must.
When the President names a new Cabinet member, or makes another executive appointment, the following steps occur:
This is the process and appears to be a fairly rigorous one.
This process is further explained in the following report: Presidential Appointments to Full-Time Positions in Independent and Other Agencies During the 111th Congress, CRS-2013-GVF-0046 (Jan. 22. 2013)
What would it be like to be in front of our God on judgement day? Better yet, wouldn’t it be a rejoicing time to know that our sins have been washed away by the blood of the Lord. Well allow my favorite lyrics I Can Only Imagine, from the most awesome group MercyMe tell us:
No matter how far we may wander from the Lord’s perfect will for our lives, we are always welcome back. The Bible teaches that God’s love cannot be lost, regardless of sin or poor decisions (though we may have to live with the consequences). Our Father’s arms are always open.
